General Entry Requirements

Programme

Eligibility Criteria*

Postgraduate Diploma

Applicants with the following qualification may be admitted to Postgraduate Diploma programme: 

• A Bachelor’s degree

              OR

• An equivalent qualification

Postgraduate Diploma in Education

Applicants with the following qualification may be admitted to Postgraduate Diploma in Education programme: 

• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification;

And

• At least one year of teaching experience

Postgraduate Diploma in Physical Education

Applicants with the following qualification may be admitted to Postgraduate Diploma in Physical Education programme: 

• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification;

And

• At least one year of experience as a physical training instructor in a school/tertiary education institute/ Ministry of Sports

Master of Arts in Applied Economics

Applicants with the following qualification may be admitted to Master of Arts in Applied Economics programme: 

• A Bachelors degree; or an equivalent qualification;

                 And

• Two years of work experience

Master of Arts (Coursework)

Applicants with the following qualification may be admitted to Master of Arts degree programme: 

• A Bachelor’s Honours degree (Special) in the relevant subject; OR
• A Bachelors’ (General/ Combined) degree with 30 credits from the relevant subject area with a minimum of average B grade or equivalent grade point in the relevant subject area ;

OR

• A Bachelor’s  degree in any discipline and a Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant subject area;

OR

• An equivalent qualification

Master of Arts (Coursework and Research)

Master of Education

Applicants with the following qualification may be admitted to Master of Education degree programme: 

• Bachelor of Education degree;

OR

• A Bachelor’s degree and a merit/distinction pass in the Postgraduate Diploma in Education obtained from a recognized university;

OR

• Any other equivalent qualification

Master of Development Practice (MDP)

Applicants with the following qualifications may be admitted to follow the Master of Development Practice degree programme:

• A Bachelor's Degree

              OR

• A Diploma or its equivalent and five years’ work experience in the relevant field;

        OR

• Any other equivalent qualification

              AND

• Evidence of English competency or satisfactory performance at a test to determine English competency.

Master of Philosophy

Applicants with the following qualification may be admitted to Master of Philosophy degree programme: 

• A Master’s degree in the relevant subject area ;

OR

• A Bachelor’s’ Honours (Special) degree with First/ Second Class (Upper Division ) pass in the relevant subject area;

OR

• Any other equivalent qualification

Doctor of Philosophy

Applicants with the following qualification may be admitted to Doctor of Philosophy degree programme: 

• A Master of Philosophy degree  in the relevant subject area ;

OR

• A Master’s degree with a research component in the relevant subject area;

OR

• Any other equivalent qualifications.
