Requirements to complete a degree/diploma programme

Postgraduate Diploma

1 year

• Successful completion of twenty-five (25) credits from courses as prescribed by the relevant Board of Study

Master’s degree by Coursework

1 year

• Successful completion of thirty (30) credits from courses inclusive of 05 credits from an independent study as prescribed by the relevant Board of Study

Master’s  degree by Coursework and Research

2 years

• Successful completion of 30 credits from coursework
• Successful completion of a thesis equivalent to 30 credits (One year of full-time research leading to a thesis of 20,000-30,000 words)

Master of Development Practice (MDP

2 years

• Completion of sixty-one (61) credits from 500 and 600 level courses (45 credits of compulsory courses, 14 credits of optional courses and 2 credits from the successful completion of an internship).

Master of Philosophy

2 years

• Successful completion of courses as prescribed by the relevant Board of Study

• Successful completion of a thesis and an oral examination (Minimum two years of full-time research leading to a thesis of 40,000-50,000 words)

Doctor of Philosophy

3 years

• Successful completion of courses as prescribed by the relevant Board of Study

• Successful completion of a thesis and oral examination (Minimum three years of full-time research leading to a thesis not less than 60,000 words)
