Duration of Registration

A registered student is required to successfully complete all requirements of the diploma/degree programme within a stipulated time period. In the stipulated time period, a minimum time limit and a maximum time limitof registration are given for the completion of degrees.

The minimum time limit of a programme is determined based on the completion of notional hours of learning. If a student is unable to complete all requirements of the degree programme before the expiry of maximum period of the registration his/her candidature at the PGIHS may be terminated. 

Termination of Registration

The Institute has the right to terminate the registration of a student, subject to the right of appeal, at any time upon the recommendation of the relevant Board of Study. Reasons for the termination may be: failure to meet registration requirements, providing false information in the application form, expiration of the time limit of the programme for which the student has registered, failure to pay the prescribed fees, failure to maintain adequate academic standing, violation of rules and regulations of the University and the Institute that leads to the termination of candidature.
